Leicester Enterprise Club

The Origins of the Leicester Enterprise Club UK

TLEC Logo
The Leicester Enterprise Club UK is an exciting not for profit project (Community Interest Company) formed in Leicester to help new and existing entrepreneurs from our target community who are of African-Caribbean and mixed heritage alongside others affected by the current economic climate. It is a mechanism for helping people to join the labour market thereby supporting government initiatives like the "Big Society". We aim to help local people create ways to take ownership of their futures by active involvement in designing solutions to fit their own and their community's needs.

The Vision for The Leicester Enterprise Club is to:

  • Establish Leicester Enterprise Club UK as a HUB that encourages a more enterprising culture in the community.
  • Provide business support, mentoring and signposting for new and existing entrepreneurs
  • Develop partnerships with relevant agencies (Mainstream, Infrastructure Projects, VCOs).
  • Where possible, provide "practical" low cost/free, high quality support as this is a critical area for many small businesses.
  • Help create and foster a new generation of entrepreneurs within the community

  • Develop a clear and accessible route into mainstream services
